Safety Committees
Florida International University (FIU) is committed to keeping our employees safe! FIU has a responsibility to provide a safe work and learning environment for faculty, staff, students, and visitors. Per the State of Florida Division of Risk Management, each state agency is required to establish and maintain a general safety committee to evaluate, monitor and analyze overall safety issues to reduce the risk of injury, property damage and potential Liability for the University. FIU has various safety and compliance committees that focus on different regulatory compliance requirements and safety objectives.
