Animal Care
EH&S works in conjunction with the FIU Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) to provide guidelines and procedures on research activity involving animals. All animal research requires approval from IACUC and must comply with state and federal regulations.
Occupational Health and Safety Training
In addition to IACUC approval, all faculty, staff and students are required to enroll in the Occupational Health and Safety Program (OHSP). This program is intended to assure that employees and students are able to identify potentially hazardous exposures, practices and procedures which could compromise their health.
